Federer I have no nails left.....

Let down...

I was ok with who won the Rolland Garros (I was told yesterday it is not "French Open" but Roland Garros) but I expected the match to be an exciting one with more fight and determination. Yet, with Federer making many mistakes, Nadal had a cakewalk and I a letdown after giving up the Euroferia for the second evening to watch the matches. The one on Friday had more exciting moments.

Amazing considering the same person who made so many mistakes made all these games - especially 6. My favourite in this is number 1 and number 4 and... number 7 and 2... . I love rallies - a lost thing in a game filled with power nowadays.

Ah! Those good old days

Those days when I used to stay glued to the TV to watch the matches... The memories were brought forth by the news of the game between Federer and Sampras. Wonder whether I can get a recording of this match somewhere. The beauty of Sampras's game (many people used to find it boring but I used to love it and started to find the "power game" that tennis had become quite boring), had kept me hooked onto tennis for a long long time. Perhaps it is time to rediscover it again.
